  • Handbrake operation
  • Related suspension and steering wear that affects braking

Brake repairs: common questions

Something else? Contact the workshop

Should I drive with grinding brakes?

Grinding can mean worn components are making metal-on-metal contact, which reduces braking and causes further damage. If the brakes feel unsafe, avoid driving and call the workshop for advice.

Why does my steering wheel shake when I brake?

Vibration under braking is often related to the brake discs, but suspension and steering wear can also play a part. An inspection will tell.
